Style Profile: Micaela

Sunday, July 17, 2016
As I mentioned earlier this blog isn't all about me. Theirs only but so much I can cover, that's why I've enlisted the help of some pretty cool people along the away. What I hated the most about other blogs is that many fashion bloggers stuck to one style, now granted I know that everyone has their own personal style but there was never any variation. I love showcasing the style of my friends and people I know which lead me to create a monthly segment called "style profiles". Shining a spotlight on some pretty awesome (and different from my own) style! Without further ado, I present to you this months style profile Micaela!

Name: Micaela Estevez

School: University of Rhode Island Class of ‘18

Major: Public Relations with a minor in Business

Career goals: creative for an advertising firm, fashion magazine or sports

Fashion inspiration: Kendall Jenner, Vanessa Hudgens, Gigi Hadid, Tess Christine, Zendaya

Favorite pieces to own: distressed boyfriend jeans, a LOT of bathing suits, oversized T-shirts, and bralettes

Favorite stores: PacSun, Brandy Melville, Garage, TopShop, H&M

Describe your style: I would say it’s a combination of boho and tomboyish, it really depends on my mood. Some days I feel like dressing up a bit more and wear more trendy outfits but most of the time I usually go for more of a care-free vibe. Especially in the summer, I’m all about beachy looks.

Knot so simple

Thursday, July 7, 2016

If you haven't caught on to my style yet, I like simple. I stay away from over accessorizing, over layering and pushing fashion boundaries. I like to stay rather safe but still fashinable and cute it's just more realistic for me. Looking for outfit inspiration, the tee shirt + body con skirt combination really caught my eye. Again, easy, cute and comfortable are my three favorite words when describing my style. Since I used such simple pieces for this look I let my shoes do the talking. These bad boys are a cute pair of Valentino rock stud lookalike heels (running for about $1,000) that I found online for a fraction of the price ! Sometimes It can be hard styling these because they aren't your everyday simple pumps but wearing them makes me feel like I can take on the world. Plus they are comfortable and not very high (although when I got tired of wearing them I traded them in for some flip flops). To give this look a little more flair I tied a plain grey tee shirt into a knot, making it cropped and adding to the look.

Dress me up ?

Tuesday, July 5, 2016

A great layering piece is always important to any closet. I'm in love with these trendy minimalistic long lined vests. They are an easy and perfect addition to any outfit. Throw one of these on and you have a sophisticated and structured look. I picked up this vest up from forever 21 (as usual) along with the lace-up heels. I must say the heels looked so good with the outfit but from a realistic standpoint, I wouldn't wear heels on a daily basis. I also styled the outfit with a pair of Nike Roshes and a hat, giving the outfit a more relaxed vibe that's way more wearable on a daily basis (especially being on a college campus with nothing but hills). The simple pieces under it bring the outfit together, and did I also mention this outfit is super comfortable? Comfort and cute go hand in hand in my fashion vocabulary so this look was certainly a win.

Hidden Grounds Coffee Co.

Monday, July 4, 2016

I love finding the cutest little underground places (literally) ! Hidden Grounds Coffee Co. is the most adorable spot for a quick coffee date or study session. It's quaint, quiet and very much so aesthetically pleasing.  I love the rustic-chic minimalist vibe of the place. First, I ordered their ginger peach black tea. Although I felt the tea was slightly over priced (3.75 for a large which wasn't even that large) it was well worth it ! So worth it had to try another so I ordered the citrus hibiscus herbal tea, which was almost as good as the first one. As for my food I ordered their bagel sandwich. I must say it was exquisite ! This had to be one of the best bagels I've tasted, I had a plain bagel with cream cheese but accompanied with crisp onion, cucumbers, tomatoes and finished with creamy avocado. I savored each bite. Go check out this cute little spot and leave a comment on what you got, I would love to hear it !

Next to rompers and dresses, matching sets are the easiest thing to effortlessly throw on. There is no deciding what piece goes with what, and having to deal with putting an outfit together. I am all for easy and cute looks. Finding outfits in the morning can be stressful and when I spotted this little piece of heaven in a forever 21 I  fell in love at first sight. The pattern is my favorite thing about it (other than the facts that it's a set). The majority of the time I stay away from patterns and colors in general (neutral colors are always so much safer) but I decided to take a slight risk. I love it because both pieces are interchangeable, you don't have to wear it as a set. It's also perfect for the summer and the spring and can be easily be dressed up or dressed down to your liking !

The Birth of a New Blog !

.....and were live ! What better day to launch my new journey than on the 4th of July ? The day our country set off declaring independence and birthing a nation, filled with new beginnings and endless opportunities. Something like the feeling I’m getting today launching my blog . My longtime high school best friend and I got together and had some fun behind the camera. I had an amazing time shooting with her and her brother for my first few looks ! Both of these looks will be featured later on in the blog but I wanted to give a little sneak peak. I want to give a quick shout out to my amazing photographer, Gabe. He’s the man behind the camera, the visuals for this blog came out to be more than perfect and I cannot wait to share them all with you ! So thank you, Gabe. I also want to thank anyone who believed in me when I didn't believe in myself and all of my friends and family who gave me the utmost support when creating this blog. Whether your inside viewing this post on a laptop relaxing in the air conditioning, or outside barbecuing on the grill scrolling on your phone, or at the beach, wherever you are I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July !

Hello !

Saturday, July 2, 2016
Welcome,

I am thrilled to be sharing this journey with you all. If anyone reading this knows me personally, you would know that this is one of my dreams that has finally come true. There’s been so much hard work put into this blog (it’s way harder than it looks).

This blog will be a journey dedicated to providing inspiration for woman and young girls who love the same things I do, fashion, beauty and living a happy and healthy lifestyle. My vision and primary goal for this blog is to break the standard social boundaries of what we think fashion and beauty is today. I’ve written these post to be relatable and down to earth, keeping in my audience of everyday women (and men) like you and me. I am no beauty or fashion expert but I am here to help share advice and tips on things I know. This blog will not be all about me, I plan on producing some great content featuring many other people, because we can all learn from each other. For anyone reading this blog i hope it brings you inspiration and happiness reading it because I sure enjoyed creating it, just for you. Without further ado I present to you, MissBhrianna.

With love,
Bhrianna
